Getting started

What can I do with eSignature.llc?

Three things, all in one place. (1) Self-sign your own PDF in 30 seconds with no account — go to /quick-sign, drop a file, sign on your phone with selfie + GPS evidence, download. (2) Send a contract to one or more people for signature with email tracking, audit trail, and a legally valid Certificate of Completion. (3) Counter-sign — the standard B-then-A workflow used in tenancy, employment, vendor and service contracts.

Do I need an account?

No, for one-off self-signing — use /quick-sign as a guest. Yes, for sending documents to other people, saving templates, or accessing the dashboard with status tracking, reminders, and the audit log.

Which file types are supported?

PDF and DOCX. DOCX files are converted to PDF on our server using LibreOffice headless. After conversion the original DOCX is discarded; only the PDF is stored.

How big can my file be?

Up to 25 MB on the guest /quick-sign route, up to 100 MB inside an account.

Quick Sign (free, no account)

How do I sign my own PDF in 30 seconds?

Visit /quick-sign on your phone or computer. Drop or upload your PDF/DOCX. If you're on a computer, scan the QR code with your phone — if you're already on mobile, the app skips the QR step and goes straight into signing. Pick what you want to capture (signature only, signature + selfie, signature + selfie + GPS), draw your signature with the on-screen pen (5 nib styles available), capture the selfie when prompted, allow location, and tap Done. The signed PDF arrives by email and is also downloadable from the success page.

Why does it ask for selfie and GPS?

They're optional — uncheck them on the Choose step if you only want a plain signature. When enabled, the selfie and GPS coordinates are stamped at the foot of the signed page so you (or a court) can later prove who signed and from where.

Are there limits?

3 documents per IP per 24 hours, file size up to 25 MB, document auto-purged 24 hours after upload. Need more? Free account removes both limits.

Sending a document for signature

How do I send a contract to someone for signature?

Log in. Click 'New Document' in the sidebar. Upload your PDF/DOCX. On first upload of a new template you'll see the Sign-mode dialog — choose Single (only the recipient signs) or Counter-sign (recipient signs, then you counter-sign), and pick how many witnesses (0/1/2). Click Continue. You're now in the Placement Wizard: drop tiles for Signature, Photo, and Personal Details for each party where you want them on the page. Click Send for signature, enter the recipient's email + name, write a short message, and Send. They'll receive an email with a unique secure link.

What does the recipient experience?

They get an email with the document title, your message, and an 'Open document' button. The link works on mobile or desktop without any account. They see the document, fill any fields you assigned to them, and complete the signature ceremony (signature + optional selfie + optional GPS, depending on your placements). When they finish, you and they both get a copy of the signed PDF and a Certificate of Completion.

Can I require multiple signers?

Yes — add multiple recipients in the Send modal. Default order is 'all at once' but you can switch to 'sequential' so signer 2 only sees the document after signer 1 finishes.

Can I send the same document to many people in bulk?

Yes — the Pro tier supports up to 100 recipients per batch. Upload a CSV with each recipient's email and per-recipient placeholder values (name, amount, etc.) and the system fans out one personalised envelope per row.

How do I send reminders?

From the document detail page, click 'Send reminder' next to any unsigned recipient. They get a polite nudge email; the action is recorded in the audit log. Auto-reminders every 3 days are also configurable per envelope.

Counter-signing (B then A)

What is counter-signing?

The standard workflow for contracts where the recipient signs first and the document owner signs second. Examples: a tenancy agreement (tenant signs, then landlord), a job offer (employee signs, then HR), a service agreement (vendor signs, then client). The owner can review the recipient's input before committing their own signature.

How do I enable counter-sign on a document?

When you upload, the Sign-mode dialog asks: Single or Counter-sign? Pick 'Counter-sign'. You'll then see 6 tiles in the Placement Wizard — Signature, Photo, Personal Details for both Party A (you) and Party B (recipient) — drop them on the pages where each should appear. Send the document. The recipient signs first; their signed copy comes back to you with a 'Counter-sign required' badge in orange. Click 'Counter-sign now' on the dashboard to add your signature. Done.

When does the Counter-sign button appear?

Only after Party B (the recipient) has signed. Until then the document shows status PENDING_SIGNATURE and the button is hidden. Once B signs, status becomes PARTIALLY_SIGNED with the orange 'Counter-sign required' badge, and the button is enabled.

Can I add witnesses?

Yes — in the Sign-mode dialog pick 1 or 2 witnesses. Each witness gets their own signature tile and their own email row in the Send modal. Status flips to COMPLETED only after all parties (B, witnesses, then A) have signed.

Templates

What are templates?

Reusable contract skeletons with your own fields and placements pre-saved. Create from any signed document by clicking 'Save as template', or from the Templates section by uploading a fresh PDF/DOCX. Each future use starts as a draft pre-filled with your placements — no more re-positioning every time.

Are there built-in templates?

Yes. We ship two production-ready ones: (1) Voice Contract — 16-question form for a tele-marketing voice agreement; pre-positioned signature tiles on page 7. (2) Akshar Living PG admission form — 17 placements including photo box, signature, auto-date. Both auto-detect when you upload a matching DOCX/PDF, so you don't even need to pick the template manually.

Can the recipient fill fields too?

Yes — in the placement wizard, set the field's assignee to 'recipient' (Party B) instead of 'sender' (Party A). When B opens the link they'll see a question form first, then proceed to signature. The system remembers their answers from previous documents (Field Memory) and pre-fills next time.

Security, evidence & legal

Is eSignature.llc legally binding?

Yes. We capture a live selfie, GPS lat/long, IP, and server-side timestamp on every signature, all embedded in the final PDF and the Certificate of Completion. That meets the Simple Electronic Signature bar under ESIGN/UETA (US), eIDAS (EU), ETA (Thailand and Singapore), India IT Act, UK ECA, and Australian ETA. For high-value contracts our authenticated counter-sign flow also satisfies the Reliable / Secure / Advanced bars where those exist.

What does the audit trail look like?

Append-only AuditLog table with hash-chained rows. Every action is recorded — uploads, views, signature placements, signing events, counter-signs, completion emails. Each row has actor, timestamp, IP, and (where relevant) coordinates. Rows are never updated or deleted; the SHA-256 hash chain breaks if anyone tries.

What is the Certificate of Completion?

A second PDF auto-generated when the envelope completes. It includes the document title, hash, all signers with their email, IP, location, signed-at timestamp, and the full audit-log excerpt. Attach it to the signed contract whenever you share or store the agreement — it's your proof of validity.

Where is my document stored?

Encrypted at rest on our EU-region servers. Audit logs and metadata live in our EU primary database. Cross-border transfers (e.g. when an APAC signer authenticates) rely on Standard Contractual Clauses under GDPR Chapter V. /quick-sign documents are auto-purged after 24 hours; account documents are kept until you delete them.

Do you offer Qualified Electronic Signatures (eIDAS QES)?

No. We are not a Qualified Trust Service Provider on the EU Trusted List. For Estonian QES, signers should use ID-card, Mobile-ID, or Smart-ID — we accept those as external attestations alongside our evidence chain.

Can I bring my own signature?

Yes — you can upload a signed PNG/SVG, capture a photo of your signature on paper, save a signature library for re-use, or type-to-sign with a handwriting font. All four options live inside the signature ceremony.

Languages & regions

Which languages are supported?

English and Thai today, with the same UI, emails, and Certificate of Completion in either language. Toggle via the locale switcher in the header or the sidebar. We're adding Hindi, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), and Japanese next.

Do you support Thai number-to-words?

Yes — for legal Thai documents that require amounts spelled out (e.g. tenancy contracts), we render the Thai-Baht number-to-words automatically.

Account & support

How do I get help?

Three options. (1) Click the chat bubble bottom-right on any page — leave your name and email and an agent will reply live (or by email if we're offline). (2) Email support@esignature.llc. (3) Browse this FAQ.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. We email you a confirmation link; once confirmed, all your documents, templates, audit logs, and personal data are erased within 24 hours. Signed counter-parties retain their copies as legally required.

Is there a mobile app?

No native app needed — the website is fully mobile-friendly and the signing ceremony is built mobile-first (camera, GPS, signature pad). Add the page to your home screen for an app-like experience.

Still curious?

The chat bubble bottom-right reaches a real person during business hours. Otherwise we reply by email within a few hours.
